Say hello to Group Nine!
Our group nine farmers are fully media educated and raring to go!
After spending two days in Staffordshire with our Media Educators Ben Eagle from Rural Pod Media, ex BBC cameraman Pete Taylor, Alex Price from Down to Earth Media and journalist and writer Clare Hargreaves, our farmers are now media ready.
Replicating a live and/or a pre-recorded radio interview with tough questions, our founder Anna Jones gave the farmers a crash course in radio while Ben Eagle's introduction to podcasting told the farmers all they needed to know to start their own podcast.
Focusing on how to conquer the fear of writing and produce great copy for a general audience, journalist Clare Hargreaves invited our farmers to put pen to paper, while freelance, self-shooting Producer/Director Alex Price taught our farmers how to film and edit on their phones.
Understanding the logistics of TV production and what to expect when a TV crew turns up on the farm was the final piece of the Media Education process, with Pete Taylor, a freelance TV Producer/Director and camera operator.
We can't wait to see what our farmers get up to next...
