New Year Lectures with RASE
If you're interested in learning more about the truths and myths behind beef production then Professor Jude Capper FRASE is the person you need to ask - presenting at the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) New Year Lectures last night she asked, 'Are cows really killing the planet?'.
Armed with all the facts, Jude's talk was a real eye-opener, aimed at encouraging more informed and nuanced conversations around a topic that can often become polarised.
Following a short break where the Just Farmers team enjoyed chatting with Farmers Weekly Editor Andrew Meredith and new Oxford Farming Conference Director David Hill over drinks and nibbles, we were back in the room to hear our second lecture.
Taking a deep dive into how robotics, AI and other agri-tech developments can help us keep pace with the need for food for all, Professor Simon Pearson delivered a captivating lecture on 'Feeding the planet with Agri-tech – what’s next?'
It was a fascinating evening full of insight, and one that we were very glad to be a part of!
