'Clarkson's Farm has had more impact than the protests'
Our network has shared their thoughts on the public perception of agriculture in 2025; following eight months of protests and rallies around the UK against the Chancellor’s Autumn Budget and changes to Inheritance Tax, and almost a year into Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour Government.
It’s a diverse range of views and some personal insights that you won’t read anywhere else.
We asked our network of farmers and growers:
In your opinion, or based on your own experience, have farmers' protests had a positive, negative or neutral effect on:
a) The non-farming public's perception of the farming community;
b) The non-farming public's understanding of Government policy and how it impacts agriculture.
If you're a journalist or programme maker and you're keen to know what our farmers think, then please email emily@justfarmers.org.
