Hearing from Theeb Partheeban OBE at the Harvest Lunch
The most popular event in every agri-journalist's calendar, the British Guild of Agricultural Journalists annual harvest celebration was the perfect opportunity to catch up with friends, and colleagues and network with other agricultural communicators this month.
And it was great to hear from guest speaker Navaratnam Partheeban OBE who emphasised the importance of inclusivity and diversity in agricultural communications during an inspiring Harvest Lunch address.
A farm vet, author, and the founder of the British Veterinary Ethnicity & Diversity Society (BVEDS), Theeb's presentation focused on the importance of diversity in the agricultural industry and emphasised that there is no reason why agricultural communications can’t be more inclusive.
Following Theeb's talk, awards were handed out to journalists, photographers and PR professionals, recognising where they have gone above and beyond to tell a story.
And of course we all enjoyed a fantastic three-course lunch at the very impressive Stationer's Hall!
